Namibia

Sossusvlei is one of the most famous location to visit in Namibia. And once there you have to visit the Deadvlei in the early morning, i.e. get there before the sun rises. But there is actually much more to see in this great country. Just leave the beaten path and look for those hidden places where you are (almost) on your own. Just like this "Hidden Vlei" shown on the picture above.

Despite a dead tree shown on this picture, I actually didn't take the picture it at the also well-known Deadvlei. While the later is easily accessible by car, you actually have to walk about one hour in the desert to get to the Hidden Vlei. Less dead trees, but much (more) worth to go to - especially in the late afternoon like we did when I took this picture. We were actually the only ones going to that place while the Deadvlei was crowded.
