A week ago the tour up to the Pollux was not yet feasible. But we succeeded with our second attempt. We were one of the few roped parties who headed out toward the Pollux peak in dense fog and just upon reaching the Schwarztor the sun finally came out. So nothing could stop us anymore to hit the Pollux west face.
A short ride on the summit ridge, followed by the 45° steep west face and via Schwarztor, Schwärze glacier, Gorner glacier all down to Zermatt (2,400 vertical meters).
